Stamford Bridge is a football stadium in Fulham, in south-west London. It's the home of the Chelsea Football Club, which plays there since 1.905 but it opened in 1.877. This stadium is known as 'The Bridge' for the Chelsea fans.
The capacity of the stadium is over 40.000 seats and it's a UEFA Elite Stadium (a five-stars stadium). The highest assistance was of 100.000 people, 50 years ago.
In the beggining, there was an athletics track arround the football field because there was built to do athletic careers. Now, the part where the athletics track was is full of localities.
In 2.005, there was opened the Chelsea Football Club museum to commemorate his 100 years of history. In the museum you can see the most important football matches which has been played in the stadium, pictures of all the players who have played there, etc.
In the future, the club will augment the number of seats.
